“Vegan leather” used to be shorthand for “won’t last the trip.” That’s changed. Modern vegan leather (usually polyurethane-based, sometimes plant-based) holds up to real travel wear, and it’s become the default material for a growing share of the footwear and bag brands we carry — not as a compromise, but because it’s genuinely durable and easier to clean than the real thing.
Footwear That Keeps Up
Our footwear lines include a growing range of vegan sneakers, boots, and sandals built for daily wear, not just display. Browse Women’s Footwear and Men’s Footwear for the full range, or check Footwear for Explorers for unisex styles built for miles on foot.
Bags Built to Travel
Totes, crossbody bags, and duffels made from vegan leather resist scuffing and wipe clean after a long flight — useful when your bag doubles as a seat-back organizer. See the current lineup in Luggage & Bags.
What to Look For When Buying Vegan Leather
Not all vegan leather is created equal. Look for reinforced stitching at stress points (handles, straps, toe boxes), a matte rather than glossy finish (glossy PU tends to crack faster), and brands that specify the actual material rather than just “vegan” — that transparency is usually a good sign the maker cares about durability, not just marketing.
